This is why we exist
It is never easy to watch a friend or family member suffer through cancer treatments. It is even more heartbreaking when the person suffering is a child. It is devastating and many would gladly trade places so that the little girl or boy could live carefree. While we cannot trade places, we can do things that lessen the burden.
Last fall Cassidy was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer and with that came the long ordeal of chemotherapy, hair loss, doctors visits, and fear. For those of you who have recently donated and/or raised money for us, just know that you have contributed greatly to this young girl’s life – not a vague cause, but to a little girl with a name, a face, emotions, and a family. Thank you! Because of your donations we were able to purchase a trained medical support dog that will provide bright spots and comfort in her journey to recovery. Cassidy received her dog last week and we couldn’t be happier. The note below from her parents expresses the joy resulting from what we do. It is the reason why our organization exists.
“Tonight has been magical. We don’t have sufficient words of gratitude…so thank you will have to do. Thank you for making this moment possible for our baby girl. Cassidy is so in love, and we can already feel the calm pushing her anxiety aside. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!”
