Throughout my life, I have always been physically active in one way or another. I grew up playing competitive volleyball and also ran track in high school. Once in pharmacy school, I shifted my focus to long distance running and CrossFit. In the summer of 2017, I completed my first half marathon and during the summer of 2018, I decided to try out my first Spartan Race. By the summer of 2019, I had competed in a total of five obstacle course races. Fitness has always been a top priority in my life, but I place a strong emphasis on giving back and helping others as well.
I have been participating in volunteer work for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family spent the first half of each Thanksgiving Day feeding those in need, and as a result, giving back became a staple in my life early on. The mission of ‘For Those Who Would’ aligns closely with my love for competing in Obstacle Course Racing and my desire to help others, and I am happy and honored to be a Supporting Athlete for this organization.
